This collaborative project involved multiple groups, each tasked with designing a new hotel in another country. Our specific assignment was to create a concept that integrated with the local history and culture. Within my group, we divided responsibilities for various aspects of the hotel. Regular meetings and check-ins ensured that our individual contributions would harmonize effectively in the final result.
Our designated area was Hong Kong, China. Prior to starting the project, we made research on Hong Kong’s culture. Drawing inspiration from this, we envisioned a modern hotel that would reflect Chinese culture through its choice of materials, color palette, and interior design. I chose to visualize the lobby, paying particular attention to enhancing the materials with strategic lighting to complement our dark color scheme.
Project length: 3 weeks/Software used: 3Ds max, Corona, Photoshop
